Itinerary

Day by day

Day 1: Arrival in Serengeti National Park

Morning: Arrive at Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport and take a short domestic flight to the Serengeti. As your plane touches down on the Serengeti airstrip, you’ll already feel the wild beauty of the park around you.

Afternoon: Meet your guide and transfer to your luxury tented camp. Enjoy a welcome lunch, then relax and soak in the panoramic views of the Serengeti plains from your lodge.

Late Afternoon: Embark on your first game drive. Witness giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and elephants roaming the savannah. Keep your camera ready for lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Evening: Return to camp for a gourmet dinner under the stars. Relax around the campfire as you listen to the sounds of the African night.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drives – Tracking the Great Migration

Morning: After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive. Depending on the time of year, you may follow the path of the Great Migration, witnessing thousands of wildebeests and zebras as they cross the Serengeti in search of greener pastures.

Midday: Enjoy a bush picnic lunch in the heart of the park, surrounded by the iconic landscape of acacia trees and sweeping plains.

Afternoon: Continue your game drive, focusing on areas known for large predators, including lions, hyenas, and leopards. Your guide will provide insight into the park’s rich ecosystem and unique wildlife behaviour.

Evening: Return to your camp for a sundowner drink and a relaxing evening by the campfire.

Day 3: Sunrise Safari and Optional Hot Air Balloon

Pre-Dawn: Optionally, begin your day with a hot air balloon safari at sunrise. Drift over the Serengeti plains and watch as wildlife awakens beneath you, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.

Morning: If you opt out of the balloon ride, enjoy an early morning game drive. Dawn is a prime time for wildlife activity, and you may catch predators like lions or leopards returning from night hunts.

Late Morning: Visit the Seronera River Valley, a popular area for viewing hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

Afternoon: Return to the lodge for a relaxing afternoon by the pool, followed by an optional nature walk with a guide to learn about the smaller flora and fauna of the Serengeti.

Evening: Enjoy a cultural evening with stories from your Maasai guide around the fire.

Day 4: Game Drives and Maasai Village Visit

Late Morning: Visit a traditional Maasai village on the outskirts of the park. Engage with the Maasai people, learn about their nomadic culture, and experience their way of life.

Afternoon: After lunch back at the camp, embark on an afternoon game drive to maximize your wildlife encounters. Alternatively, enjoy a walking safari in a designated area, focusing on the smaller details of the ecosystem.

Evening: End your day with a farewell bush dinner under the stars, with traditional Maasai entertainment to celebrate your last night in the Serengeti.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Departure
