Itinerary
Day by day
Day 1: Fly from Arusha to Northern Serengeti
Start your safari with a morning flight from Arusha to Kogatende Airstrip in the Northern Serengeti. Upon arrival, meet your guide and head to your camp while enjoying a game drive en route. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive to explore the region known for its rich wildlife, including the Great Migration herds.
Days 2-3: Full Days of Game Viewing in Northern Serengeti
Spend two full days in the Northern Serengeti, focusing on game drives around the Mara River. This area is famous for its dramatic wildebeest crossings, though these events can be unpredictable and require patience. The Mara River is a hotspot for predators, including crocodiles and lions, making every game drive an exciting adventure.
Day 4: Northern to Central Serengeti
After a leisurely breakfast, depart for the Central Serengeti. Known as the Seronera region, this area offers some of the best year-round wildlife viewing, thanks to the Seronera River, which supports a rich variety of animals. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your camp for dinner.
Day 5: Full Day in Central Serengeti
Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Seronera region, home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on Earth. From prides of lions to solitary leopards and cheetahs, the wildlife encounters are endless. The region's open plains and rock outcroppings, known as kopjes, provide a dramatic backdrop for photography.
Day 6: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend over 600 meters into the crater for a full day of game viewing. The crater supports an incredible variety of animals, including rhinos, buffaloes, warthogs, and hippos, as well as predators like lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. In the late afternoon, return to the lodge on the crater rim.
Day 7: Return to Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha, stopping for lunch at a popular local restaurant. Transfer to the airport for your flight home, concluding your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
